Thinking of moving to Spokane. Info needed!
Hi!
I am originally from Western Washington and am thinking of moving over east of the mountains! I am currently living in the UK with my husband. We figured that since we will be moving to the US (first time living in the USA for my husband!) that we should find someplace that was new to both of us to live!
So, we have been looking at Spokane. On paper it sounds lovely, cheap houses, lots of parks, lakes, skiing. Is it really a nice place to live? Where are the best parts to buy a house in?
Any info would be very much appreciated!
Thanks!

It is a nice place. I moved up here about four years ago from Orange County California and my wife and i have really enjoyed our time. We camp, fly fish, snow board, hike, cycle, and go to the parks.
the best places to live can be a bit deceiving because it is not like London where you have a rows or blocks where you have a great community. In Spokane you will find pockets around lower income areas. the housing is much more affordable that in London or even in the surrounding areas. i live on the North side and stayed in an apartment ion the South Hill. My bad the city or county is broken up into four areas: South Hill (the in place to live and most of the old money), North side the where most of the new developments are going up but is considered not a great place to live, bunch of BS if you ask me), the Valley (probably the second most expensive place to live) and the airway heights (out by the airport).
Right now there are more houses for sale than there are buyers so deals are happening. Damn builders went crazy when the housing market rockets the last couple of years.
Hope that helps and if you need more just email me at tuxedois82000atyahoodotcom
