My employer is moving me to the Spokane region. How does Eastern Washington's cost of living compare with Idaho? Property tax, utilites, etc... Thanks in advance for any input.

If you can handle potato jokes and references from friends and coworkers then Idaho is the place to be. Washingtax is controlled by Seattle liberals and it's only going to get worse. According to many Seattle area residents, the rest of the state would wither up and die if not for our economy. In their view, people East of the Cascades have no economy of their own and are nothing but parasites. I can't imagine residents of Boise feeling the same way about Northern Idahonians.
